About “Next Chapter”
In an age of information abundance, rapid technological change, social-construction of knowledge, and a debate on the definition of literacy, the library has an unprecedented opportunity to lead our communities.
Next Chapter > The Future of K-12 Libraries will assemble leaders and practitioners to engage one another in design teams to reimagine libraries that are dynamic hubs and catalysts for learning and change. The three-day summit in September and our virtual learning community will offer participants the opportunity to learn about and assist in the design of the Next Chapter for libraries.
Next Chapter is sponsored by the Lewis H. Beck Foundation.
About Reimagine : Ed
Using a virtual learning community and an annual three-day summit, we bring together diverse voices and use the design process to develop shared understandings and action steps for change. We are exploring the future of learning in K-12 education by identifying ideas, places, and professional roles that would benefit from new perspectives.
The initial focus of Reimagine : Ed will be to explore the role of the library and its potential as a center of learning and engagement in our communities.
